It's so spread out and microclimate-dependent, it's not as fun as it sounds. I have plenty of memories of good times over here when no one else got any fun though, so it's not a bad place to be. It's definitely interesting. Waiting to see if we get any of the thunderbooms @MR.SNOWMIZERhas gotten though. That will be a nice nightcap if so.

The thing about it around here is everyone gets their moment of glory eventually.  There are so many patterns that can bring snow and they all favor different areas.

Your profile says Covington, you get way more fun that we do in North Kitsap, except when the easterly snow eaters show their face 🙃

Bit of fairly green returns just moved overhead here.. according to the radar. Nothing that's making it to the ground, though, hand check confirms. Winds have picked up a bit and the temperature has dropped to 34.5 so far, from 38 about 45 minutes ago. Not quite sure what to think, but it certainly is interesting to watch the conditions change like this.

Heavy wet snow is definitely taking a toll on the trees that still have leaves. Just went outside and heard 2 branches break. One of them in my front yard. The snap was so loud and then I hear a branch come crashing down

It's actually pretty boring here right now.  Not much falling from the sky.  It is cold though with the temp near freezing.

Here are a couple from right now. A little over 4 inches, still coming down and roads are covered.

Couple miles south of Squak Mt almost 500 feet.

I think a fair amount of people underestimate the damage this sort of heavy wet snow can do-- the west side and hills were a mess down here back in April. 8-10 inches of sloppy snow can essentially do minor ice storm equivalent damage, especially on leafed trees.

How much snow did you get up there in April?

Folks, this is WILD!  I couldn’t stand seeing a 50/50 snow mix at my house any longer so I got in my car and drove from 55th up to 145th on I-5. Complete change to snow happens by 100th and by 145th it’s DUMPING and I5 is completely snowcovered with well over an inch on the ground. I’ve never seen conditions change that fast without an elevation change. Back at my house and the temp has dropped a degree in 20 minutes and it’s more like 90% snow now. Come on down snow!!!

My son at UW just called me and said he did the same thing.  😀

He said it was winter wonderland as soon as he went north and said when he got back to UW now it was turning to snow there.

Maybe they're updating it so it doesn't show so much phantom snow. It has predicted 10" of snow at my house in the last two days and I haven't seen even a trace.
