There is continental air filtering into Hope now. SE wind there is outflow from the Canyon.  There is no defined arctic front in the Canyon. Just progressively colder as you go north. -4 at hells gate. -6 Lytton. -8 Cache Creek.

The 0z WRF shows a significant CZ/strait-effect snowfall for Duncan - Nanaimo - Parksville. I get the feeling this is substantially downplaying the moisture over the next 24 hours, probably already a bust in parts of the Fraser Valley:

For those in western Washington the EURO is in the sweet spot IMO. If we meet in the middle it likely means a snowstorm.

Looks like the NFL Network commentators are stuck in "Andrew Effect Snow".  Snow that is very wet and about 52 degrees.  Oh, and the sky is falling at the same time, lol.

The remnants of my shovel3d driveway snowpile from Dec 1 made it to today's dusting that has now mostly melted. I'll still take that as a W. 

Now can it possibly hold on until tomorrow's possible snow?

Oh I totally agree. It does usually always have *something* there resembling a CZ. It also sometimes extremely overdoes a CZ. So just interesting to see no signal for one in the central sound. With the setup we have I’m sure we will see one though.

Good point, a lot of the time it shows one that doesn't happen.

The low comes further north this run. Not great for Oregon, but still cold north before and after the low passes.
