Jesse
Depends how you frame it. I just offered a clarification. Nothing to debate here. Clarification in the form of a cup of mud.
Jesse
At least PDX is down to freezing now, and reporting snow. It has switched to zr down here for now.
Phil
What you actually think will happen is getting pretty hard to follow. I’m not sure if that’s what you are going for. Hard to pin someone down for being wrong when you don’t even fully understand what they are calling for and they are presenting a lot of seemingly conflicting information. I’m just analyzing the big picture from different angles of perspective. The above would hold true regardless of what I’m predicting. There was always going to be a midwinter strengthening of the PV..so my mentioning of this fact shouldn’t imply that I’m changing my forecast unless I’d said otherwise. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
Timmy
Rough week. Near 1” of qpf a couple days ago, all rain 33-32 degrees. Today a few hours of sleet at 24f.
Canadian guy
You didn’t get any the other day did you? Looks like a legit shot today. The rain did turn to snow but it was at the tail end of the precip so no accumulation. I'm hoping for an inch later today....we shall see. Current temp keeps bouncing around between 34 and 35 with light outflow winds.

Phil
Clarification in the form of a cup of mud. Lol. In some ways the upcoming period reminds me of last February. Model swings, followed by negative trends towards zonal flow, until a last minute course correction saved the day. Probably will see something similar this ho around, IMO. 1 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=

Frontal Snowsquall
This phallic band is a bit too flaccid. It isn't going to get the job done. Back to all sleet and precip rate is dying down. Odds of seeing any further snow probably not great here unless that secondary low forms and heads well south.12z RGEM showed that secondary low. Arrives around sunset and shows PDX snow, then eventually turns to ice storm later. But we could see snow again very early tomorrow morning.
Winterdog
Up to 30.Still 29 here. I doubt the temp matters much as to the snow happening. The Euro is really an outlier having more moisture, I'd be happy with an inch of fluffy type snow. I think we have a really good shot at that anyway.
