Already 29F outside. Could be a quite chilly night although I wouldn't be surprised to see fluctuation throughout. Wonder if Arlington will make a run at the teens one of these nights. It's already dropped to 22F a couple of times so it wouldn't be that crazy.

Today was also the first day above 50F (high of 53F) since the cold air moved in on November 4th.

The fact that we are talking about wildfires at all this time of year is ridiculous.  The fact that it's west of the mountains is nuts.  The fact it's in one of the wettest coasts around is madness.  The new fire is shown as a dot on this map, but there appears to be a few ongoing fires right now around NW Oregon which is insane.

Wow!  Seeing a lot of 20s in the Western Lowlands already.  The 23 in Port Townsend seems suspect, but I Iooked through their observations for the last couple of days and the sensor seems pretty reasonable overall.

I have a little bit of extra confidence a favorable block will verify late month due to the significant MJO wave that is in progress and will getting into zone 7 around then.  You can almost take it to the bank that 7 will bring below normal temps for us.  We'll see I guess.

Yeah, that Port Townsend seems pretty questionable to me. It looks like the other PWS in the area are right around 30F, some only a quarter mile away or so meaning that 23 might be suspect.

East Aurora NY webcam on YouTube is the best channel to watch for this storm. East Aurora will be bullseye for that system. Several inches an hour there right now and will continue through mid day Saturday.

wont let me share the link for some reason.

27F here. A few readings in the low-mid 20s deeper into the valley.

Later tonight east winds back off and we try at it again with a similarly potent airmass. Should be the coldest night of the season. This morning's 27F ties 11/9 for coldest thus far.

You mean potent below the inversion?   Because the air mass overhead is not potent tonight.
