Snow machine just shut off.  Dark clouds out, and the sun seems like it wants to come out.  Don't think it will work though.  Radar suggests the snow isn't yet done.

Temp dropped from 41 to 33 in an hour. Still no snow yet.

Precip shield has moved through and there’s blue sky overhead. 21F with 9” on the ground (6” since midnight, 2.75” yesterday, 0.75” Sunday). Truly gorgeous out there! And I have icicles on my icicles! Hoping the snow down south rages for a bit and brings snow to the population centers!

I think Tacoma will get some this afternoon with/after the frontal passage. Most models have shown some lingering precip hanging around for at least a couple hours after.

Just measured and it's 1.5" on the top of the recycling bin. 1" on the pavement. I'll go with the higher 

Snow has lightened significantly now, but the intensity moves around quite a bit. Down to 30.9.

this really sucks getting so much rain in the south sound. any accumulation potential is shot at this point.

I just moved there a month and a half ago. Had been in Edmonds the past 5 years.

Eh we might be good if there is heavy  enough precip, we could get some good snow. I think Renton north could get 1-3in. I think Tacoma to Renton might be lucky to pick up one inch.

The changeover to snow just happened in Issaquah/Preston. Absolutely dumping massive flakes, 33 degrees.

The heavy snow seems to have tapered off. It's a very light almost non-exisitent snowfall now.

Yeah, even this morning with the relatively weak outflow is a great example of the stubborness of the gorge influence at PDX. They'll mix out later today still for sure, but most of the models greatly overstated the speed of the warming this morning there.

Friday/Saturday is looking to be the same thing but revved up a bunch of notches. Very little chance PDX gets above freezing until late Saturday at best, IMO.

I was looking at that on radar it looks like it could produce some heavy snow for a bit at my location.

Radar looks extremely dynamic right now. Should be another period of very heavy snow for much of the Central Sound shortly.

That’s an extremely impressive snowstorm for the San Juan’s. They don’t get heavy snow accumulations often so a widespread 10-12” there is pretty nuts.

Still all rain here at 33.3. Wind north at 6mph but temps stalling and rain lightening up. Haven’t seen a flake yet

Looks like a small low developing off of the northern tip of Vancouver island. May be nothing but we see that happen a lot in these situations and can throw in some more moisture into the sound.

I'll be looking for you also but I'm nowhere close to departures unfortunately.

Wow, there must be at least ten inches out there! This is the biggest 24-hour snow I've seen here, for sure.
