I still haven’t had any takers for last years celery…

Temp down to 25.5. Crazy to go from nearly 3” of rain just a few days ago, to a windstorm,  to a surprise snowstorm, to the air and ground being sooo dry and cold now!

It’s looking like the most solid snow set up this winter so far across the region. It’s an overrunning event unfortunately, but there will probably be some low elevation snow at times next week as well.

Got 2" down here in Oly. Thought we'd be in the doughnut hole, so didn't expect much. Blessed.

A lot of the stuff that showed up on radar were virga around Central Sound.. did get a few flurries.

I agree, my optimism says: " It could be a fun storm non the less". Late winter fun is better than none.

Currently 25 degrees, light snow falling, wind chill 15, 3-4 inches of snow on the ground.  Still shorts weather.

Yeah in late February/early March any snow chance is awesome.

23F with an unusually strong outflow for Shawnigan Lake.  A little over 5” fell last night.   GFS actually handled the outflow snow pretty well here last night, which is unusual. Euro was underdone.

Went out and we have 4.5 inches on the ground. Temperature has dropped another degree to 27 since sunrise. It’s amazing out there!

Trd -dls gradient up to -7.4mb, the Dalles is 20/11 right now. Looks like no snow cover there either

Here was the PDX NWS's forecast the night before this crazy snowstorm. Now we can evaluate how they did. 

I have what looks like about 6 inches, will get an exact measurement soon. Amazing event.

I can’t count how many times we’ve lost inches snow due to sublimation in cold/dry air. It sucks.

La Niña is dead, period. I’m leaning more towards El Niño now, big big big shake-up in the tropical circulation thanks to the SSW.

Looks pretty amazing for the northern areas and probably the Hood Canal.

McMinnville is under the strongest part of that band right now.

Wind switch happened with this band. Amazing how quick we flipped from clear skies to snow again.

We should get 2-3 inches with the main front.   Interestingly the models show the strongest SW wind gusts in the foothills on Sunday.    But it will be a cold SW wind with convective precip and sun breaks.     There could be occasional snow out here in the post-frontal action despite a roaring SW wind.   Unusual set up.
