Timmy Supercell
It's been like 60 degrees in the afternoon the last few days. Doesn't ski season usually not really get going until late November anyway? Yeah, something like Nov 20th and on I believe is when winter really kicks in. That’s a very nice and also relatively unknown hike in that area. Especially with such a popular campground close by. We had a good view of Laurence Lake from the lower Vista Ridge trail, at Owl Point. That’s one lake you never hear about too much, but it has a really nice campground. Just several miles out of Parkdale.

snow_wizard
It’s doing what I thought it would do. Big ridge where the trof was. It was one of the two most likely options. The other was persistence. In an amplified season like this persistence or reversal is usually the way to go. The good news is there should be little flat line mediocrity. Front Ranger
If we are entering a new grand solar minimum, as a number of researchers are predicting, then long dry episodes during the wet season like we're seeing now may be more common. There is some evidence that the PNW climate was drier in the Little Ice Age, and +PNA may have been prevalent during the winter (along with -EPO). 2 Quote A forum for the end of the world.
