Okay so Radar just exploded out of nowhere east of Puget Sound. Is that accurate or is radar wonky?

Just for fun:

Sunday’s CZ was too afraid to cross south I-90

Last night’s it was moisture was too afraid to go north to Seattle.

So far tonight, it’s afraid to take the ferry over.

Alright, who in the Seattle area pisses off the snow gods??

Currently 25F here in Victoria and getting blasted with snow this evening. The city also picked up 2~4" today with some unexpectedly heavy bands of snow earlier in the day. Here's how things looked on the way home a couple hours ago (should be much more by morning):

How much are you expecting tonight?

seriously. It’s funny because I have monitored so much this week being right on the edge of getting something good compared to last year I just knew it was dumping and not much to monitor. Just wake up once and check out how much has dumped and then back to bed.

Could easily see it end up as 8-10" with the way the moisture is coming in; there's virtually no shadowing as it streams down the Juan de Fuca and there will likely be some outflow enhancement as it arrives in the Victoria area. Onshore flow over outflow produces lots of instability here, it was on display today with those snow showers popping up out of nowhere over the southern Saanich Peninsula.

I see this with rainfall events too where low level NE flow enhances the rain over the south island.

Radar looks pretty good, I think we could end up with huge totals if some of those heavy echoes come up from neah bay.

Feeling we might get 5-10 Cm tomorrow too. Models too quick to scour out the cold especially with outflow continuing to a certain extent

I had flurries today! Apart from that I guess this is another time where the hills of Portland don't get at least 5 inches like some people were saying. Onto spring!

Sounds reasonable; EC seems way to aggressive in scouring the cold air tomorrow. I don't see what's going to breakdown the outflow until the low gets north of us, which wouldn't happen until at least later tomorrow evening.

Are you worried that band is setting up a tad too far south? Looking at the radar loop concerns me a bit

Look like hawkstwelve decides to take the night off. Can't blame him. Thinking about doing the same. This one might sting a little due to the nature of the precipitation.

Since Sunday it's about 1" for me, give or take. Congrats to the jackpot winners!

Is there anything to get excited about Spring or Summer or Fall? I hope we have a round 2 in feb.

I hope we have a round 2 but spring is never a tease like winter usually is. It's pleasant too!
