I've come to appreciate dry cold and even run-of-the-mill chill a lot more after the past couple winters. Just having frost lying around and pretending it was a really light arctic front helps moods!

Totally agree. It has been almost non-existent the last two years. And really until early February 18-19 was a complete torch too.

Just a shift like 20 miles south maybe makes all the difference there. Don’t have as much faith in the gfs but maybe the euro will come in slightly south too. It’s not over for Portland!

The little bit of snow that fell a bit ago was so dry that it caused that cool whispy snow dust effect on I5. Didn't accumulate anywhere though.

Didn't get anything here. Strictly a hills phenomenon.

Sun is finally out here. Temp 32˚F, DP 15˚F.

I’m okay with this wobble as long as it doesn’t become too much of a southerly trend...Will most likely wobble (a fair amount) back north by showtime!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Weird! I saw some tiny flakes at Winco about an hour ago, but it was definitely heavier as I got closer to home off the Samish exit. All gone now and it looks like it's shaping up to be a pretty day.

And PDX'ers were saying there was no way it was going to shift south again, yet here we are.

I have plenty of memories. July 1986 and July of 1993 were similar. You would have loved those two. As far as weather years go, I'll take 1985 for the win.

A nice compromise would be July 2016 again. The one minus I give that month is the complete absence of t'storms but totally solid weather. April and May blew their load with convection and that was probably a bad thing lol

18z GFS matters not, my friend. 18z Euro will likely hold its ground or shift slightly north. 00z runs will press this knife further.

Wow that is a massive winter storm on Saturday. Crazy snow totals and would be incredible icing in the WV.

It looks like PDX gains two inches for every inch we sacrifice north of Tacoma

I’m feeling really good about my location at this point. Seems to be a really good place to be not too far north not too far south.

PDX goes from about 4 inches on the 12Z run to almost 2 feet on the 18Z run through just Saturday morning!

I would actually pay money to make this happen for the Portland folks!

I’m pretty sure you’ll score this weekend including Bellingham and southern BC. Probably just going to have to wait for the southerners to have a shot first.
