Haven't been paying much attention to weather today, I just looked outside and its dumping snow. Slushy accumulations on cars and grass. 34.5.F.

Down to 35.8 here with some sloppy flakes. Thinking your range is about the bottom threshold for most of these showers tonight.

Even though the temp is just above freezing,  all untreated roads are freezing over. The ground must be several degrees below freezing. In Lynnwood right now.

Yeah I doubt it will get much better than this tonight. HIO to my east also did report 34F and snow.

Just a bit west of me in the coast range, it looks very different even at the lowest elevations. Maybe time for me to buy a lot on one of these hills in the coast range 😁. The difference in the valley vs coast range microclimate is always crazy even at these low elevations.

Eastern cold fronts are no joke. Pensacola dropped 30-40 degrees in 24 hrs. I'm always amazed at how far south cold air can penetrate east of the Rocky Mountains.

Looking forward to moving to Indiana one day and be able to take in that feeling.

Won my fantasy football league tonight again for the second year in a row and I'd never done fantasy before last season.

I left Lynnwood, the roads are just too nasty. I had to walk one order about 3 blocks. I couldn't get the traction to go up this hill less a 100 feet, along with about 6 other people. Everyone gave up and parked at the bottom.

Yikes. Just watched a 3 car crash on what would normally be a very small hill leading into an apartment complex, except it's an ice skating rink

Yea, even in Seattle it is 35 degrees out but the roads are all completely iced over, very dangerous. I almost slipped a few times walking home from work.

I am liking the trend to cool down the late week trough. Latest GFS ensembles prog it at -5.3C at 850mb. Definitely some room to move as low as -7C. Then ridging quickly builds in. That would definitely set us up for some chilly days.

There is however, one fly in the ointment. It looks like some models are trending towards brushing a system by to the north the middle of next week. Some models even show rain reaching much of Western Washington on the 12th. This could mix out the inversion. It's possible it doesn't fully mix out the lower levels, and the inversion could return afterwards but chances are it would not be as cold.

Black ice everywhere in Everett

Slicker than snot on a doorknob up here as well.  I took Dewey to get home from Cordata tonight, and I made it through the tight turns going up the hill but as soon as it straightened out I stepped on the “go” pedal and immediately got a traction control light.  Sure glad I didn’t send it into those turns!  542 was ok but as soon as I hit Britton I was back on the ice.

So road conditions here are getting treacherous. The ice on the roads didn't fully melt from the rain last night and it prevented water runoffs from the rain and precipitation today so everything just puddled up. We've now about freezing and things are beginning to freeze  up, I can see how shiny it is under the streetlights.

It seems that the better that trough works out the better the chances we end up with a strong ridge / inversion afterward.  It is certainly trending colder on the EPS right now.

This shower should hit my area.  No telling how much poop it really has with the Langley Hill radar, but there is still some yellow in it.

Britton always gets bad I feel like. The smallest of hills turn into a real big obstacle quickly. I wonder if Hillsdale is a sheet of ice?

Can confirm side roads are an icerink. Took my dog for a walk and was lucky not to fall in my a** several times. Tomorrow's commute will be messy.

My road is still snow covered for the most part.  Wish they had plowed it when it was soft today.

We can get fronts like that up here sometimes. I've seen it drop 30-40 degrees before. It's a more frequent occurrence if there isn't a massive mountain range to your North and East.👍
