Some absolutely NASTY air quality out there today.  Ugh, it's horrible to see this with no end insight.

The year we have the least amount of wildfires in decades, and yet we will have the most smoke days and the worst average AQI in our known history!

It blows my mind how it can just be trapped here.  There is so much open space for it to go... why stay here?  UGH.

This month to date is not even close to resembling anything average. Even on the inversion days that got below average highs, they were still above average thanks to the warm overnight lows.

Feels like beating a dead horse at this point. 🤷‍♂️

Supposed to get worse tomorrow with the east winds blowing the bolt creek smoke into the area. Augtober indeed.

We'll see how it can make this scene look even worse.  :(   The sky is so brown, and the mountains are gone.

Wow, it's smoky but not nearly that bad here. We've been lucky to avoid most of the major smoke since that east wind event in September.

I can not describe how weird this feels. It isn't even 6pm yet and the sun is almost below the horizon. It clearly looks like winter. But yet, for the upteenth day, it is smoky and well into the 70s. Not a drop of rain. The grass is bone dry and the sky is red.

The visible sat pic shows a sea of low clouds off the coast that is already spreading inland.  Tomorrow might be cooler than expected.  We'll see.

Since I am here, Earth Cam had this awfully smokey shot of the Space Needle from a minute ago.  The sky looks like someplace in China...

It looks putrid to be honest.  Perry Como must be rolling in his grave.

**BUT IT WASN’T SMOKY IN NORTH BEND TODAY**

Was much better here today with easterly flow.    You seem angry and wanting to take it out on people who don't control the weather.   Silly.

ECMWF shows about the same tomorrow and Sunday... with some patchy low clouds around the Sound and gone by mid to late morning.

These types of comments from you come across so much better without the big smiley emoji at the end. Thanks for leaving that off 🙏

Still running the lawn sprinklers nightly in early October. Ridiculous. They’re supposed to be winterized the 3rd week of Oct. I’d never thought I’d need them after that!

told my guy to hold off to the end of the month and we'll re access.  last year did the blow out on 10/20 which I thought was late.  scheduled for 10/27 this year, but think maybe not until the 2nd week of November now, in Fuggin Spokane.  lol

I could see blowing out later in Spokane, but this is the first year here I’ve ever had them on past September. I forgot they were on the other night since it’s disorienting having them on after dark and me and my pup got soaked lol

Who are you and what have you done with "our dysfunctional uncle" Tim?

Everything is better in moderation.    Sunny weather is more enjoyable when there is some balance.
