I have a feeling the Huskies have this one in the bag this year. Good things followed the following winters for here the last 2 times they won in this series that desperately needs a name. If the 2 teams get into the B1G then it can rightfully go at the end of the regular season where it should be. Would give a slightly increased chance of a snow event during the ballgame.

I thought WA vs OR was called the Border War?

By wetter I am not just referring to precipitation specifically, but rather the vastly increased amount of H2O into the whole system. Summers are getting drier, yes, but also much more humid. And that's warmed nighttime lows significantly.

Sure I get it. I’m a big fan of cold season chilly and dry spells. Although it hits a little different this year considering we were dealing with a near record long summer dry spell and wildfires just 3-4 weeks ago.

I also think something will happen before the end of the year. My guess is a modest arctic outbreak on 12/20 with a few inches of snow turning over to 50 degree rain on Christmas Eve/Christmas day.

December 98 style.  A cold blast with some light snow and then plenty of tropical rain from Christmas to new years. 🌴

I do seriously think we will see something before the end of the year. Nothing major maybe 3-5 day event with a 1 or 2 light snowfalls and high temps in the low to mid 30s. I get the feeling that Oregon is due to be a big snow winner with western WA and BC just getting a bit of snow. Then we will all be in weenie hell the next 2 trash El Niño winters.

That event was a nice suprise…Was supposed to be mostly a dry blast here but we ended up getting 8” of unforecasted snow that Sunday before Christmas week. That was lovely!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I think your against us with that hot garbage.

Arctic air will move in in the middle of December and settle in through January rivaling Jan 1950.

Currently 27F outside here in Moscow. Game is almost over so I'll be sad to leave the 70ish temperature for frost and cold.

I remember having a lot of snow on the ground at Christmas that year but it was foggy and raining.

I've always wanted to check out that area. SE Washington looks so different in pictures.

Definitely seems like a more downslope signature with the east wind potential late next week-- could be relatively strong, too.

28 out there now after a high of 44.  Tonight will be the coldest so far this month here and the 9th freeze.

44/28 is way below normal for sure.  48/28 here so far, but I might improve on the min a little bit.

From what I can tell the first third of November was easily top three cold for SEA at least back to 1980, and could be THE coldest.  I'll run the numbers pretty soon.  It appears the first half will come in very solid as well.

Got up to a toasty 52 degrees today. Already down to a new low for the day though. 37 degrees.

That high is actually below normal.  The normal for SEA is 53.
