Drove up to Spada Lake today. Incredible drive,  even though it's so short. Couldn't quite get the lake view I wanted before we had to turn around. Should've gone the other route.

Sure I get it. I’m a big fan of cold season chilly and dry spells. Although it hits a little different this year considering we were dealing with a near record long summer dry spell and wildfires just 3-4 weeks ago.

I do seriously think we will see something before the end of the year. Nothing major maybe 3-5 day event with a 1 or 2 light snowfalls and high temps in the low to mid 30s. I get the feeling that Oregon is due to be a big snow winner with western WA and BC just getting a bit of snow. Then we will all be in weenie hell the next 2 trash El Niño winters.

That event was a nice suprise…Was supposed to be mostly a dry blast here but we ended up getting 8” of unforecasted snow that Sunday before Christmas week. That was lovely!

Arctic air will move in in the middle of December and settle in through January rivaling Jan 1950.

I remember having a lot of snow on the ground at Christmas that year but it was foggy and raining.

44/28 is way below normal for sure.  48/28 here so far, but I might improve on the min a little bit.

From what I can tell the first third of November was easily top three cold for SEA at least back to 1980, and could be THE coldest.  I'll run the numbers pretty soon.  It appears the first half will come in very solid as well.

That high is actually below normal.  The normal for SEA is 53.
