PSA: The NWS always appreciates observations, especially detailed observations that everyone on here is capable of giving.  That can be done thru Twitter, as they often set up a feed for that, or the mPing app.  That can include final snowfall amounts, when the snow starts/stops, precip type, dew point, etc This helps them with short term forecasts as well as future forecasts as they can learn from them.  A few years ago they had a freezing rain advisory for Leavenworth, but I notified

To me the 00z runs aren't real inspiring. I kind of feel that many people are grasping at straws embedded in a fresh pile of horse manure. Soon enough though we'll have to accept defeat and way good bye to our long lost friend Old Man Winter. We may yet return again though as soon as the 00z ECMWF/EPS. 🤣

Looks like the trails are open.

They've been crazy busy this week and fully open.  I can attest to it because the traffic is a joke anywhere on that side of Bend, and I had to sit in it to get to a house this morning.

      Very true. The crazy thing is that as an American, I have seen my vacation time actually DECREASE since being bought out by a French Company. The site I worked at got closed and folks got absorbed into another division, and in the process my almost 6 weeks of PTO (I worked there 18 years) with a 6.5 week cap, got cut down to 4.5 weeks. The biggest thing I would love to see (not necessarily a French thing) would be a 4 day work week. My previous tenure at the company, I was salary and working with a Japanese customer. Since our Friday was their Saturday, we usually cut out about 1-2pm on Fridays. I worked briefly for a refinery services company and they did the same thing, working 9-ish hour days Monday through Thursday, then on Friday we would check in for a few hours in the morning then the rest of the day was ours. My current role, everything happens at 5pm on Friday.

      April 2024 Observations and Discussion

      Today will make it 8 of the last 10 days featuring below normal temperatures. That ends tomorrow as temps soar into the high 70's and then 80's on both Monday and Tuesday! A slight shot at some showers today but a better chance on Tuesday. Temps should remain above normal in the mid 70's for much of the upcoming week. Chester County Records for today: High 95 degrees at Sadsburyville (1915) / Low 26 degrees at Coatesville (1926) / Rain 2.45" at East Nantmeal (2007)
