Fyi. I sent a message to the mods to stop this nonsense. This person is not me.

I think I am going to stick around to see how clique-y this forum is. So far not impressed. Just constant harassment.

Btw, snowed all morning and I have at least 16" on the ground with lots of melt today.

Hi temp: 42

Seems your thermometer runs a little cold, this Culver station shows a 46/34 day

I heard Culver did not do well in this recent round of winter weather.

353 pages already for the month and barely half way through.

Going to slow down quite a bit now though.

55/43 so we will have a nearly double-digit positive temp departure today.

EUG still running a +3.4F departure for the month.  Looks like they're about the warmest in the entire CWA.

Fact is that if you like winter snowy weather you shouldn't live west of the cascades. It can be tormenting. Smashed a few weather radios in my youth over busted forecasts.

Personally, I’m good. I like a taste of it each winter, I just got a taste of it, and I now live someplace with fairly decent odds of getting a taste of it. If I wanted more snow, I would have moved to Spokane instead of Bellingham.

But, especially in the case of Portland, the odds of scoring a snowy winter just aren’t that good. May sting to hear it, but it’s the truth: http://theweatherforums.com/index.php/topic/2155-part-ii-january-2020-obs-and-discussion/?view=findpost&p=554921

It's called clown range for a reason.

Yes....I think it’s been established by now that Portland weather sucks....moving on.

La Pine isn’t Josh. My brother is home wishing he could post again. I don’t vouch for some of the things he has done but when he’s sober he’s a pretty good guy. Just leave La Lurker alone and let josh back one more time. He will behave and if not you can ban us both.

he definitely is. But I agree a verdict should be had with josh, either ban him or let him back. This weird lapine situation is worse. One more chance with the caveat no more drunk posting?

I think he is LaPine, but everyone deserves another chance, I think. Maybe he could limit his posting on here when drunk?  :o

Really great breath-seeing weather tonight. Wintry

I think Portlanders have officially reached the bottom now.    Breath-seeing weather in January.   Score!!

Anywhoooo... its 45 at SEA and 42 here and feels a little like spring with melting snow at night and no breath-seeing conditions.   ;)

We have had zero precipitation here today other than a dusting of snow last night.    Tomorrow and Monday look pretty much dry as well.

Huh?

The last block started shifting west in the models... too much energy was able to dig offshore as a result.

The ECMWF has looked fairly chilly in the 7-10 day period for the last couple days... but not so much tonight because that little block over AK has been trending westward with each run.
