Yeah. The east wind has really ramped up the past hour roughly.  At my house near west Gresham it's very gusty now roaring through the trees and slamming into the front of my house(east facing). Kind of fun! This will continue throughout the night and likely remain very gusty into Tuesday morning,

I would have been more excited about it before the Ducks won.

My wife’s flight just got sent back to Calgary.  It was too foggy for them to land in Nanaimo.

Really starting to look like we get a wet start to December. Remains to be seen if it peters out quickly like the rainfall in November did. We should end the month decently below average up here in terms of precip., SLE just went below average for the first time this month, so slightly below there. Overall in this area fall will end with just about exactly average temps and near to slightly below normal precip. About as “normal” as it gets.

The upcoming period looks pretty bad for mountain snowpack. Much of what falls this weekend will get wiped out by the AR(s) the following week.

Facebook was full of posts yesterday afternoon of pictures contrails from aircraft in circling holding patterns over southern BC/northern Whatcom county.  Here is a sampling, this flight was supposed to go to Nanaimo as well.  The photos were posted on the Whatcom County Weather page

Coldest temp of the season so far here, with a low of 25. Wind isn’t blowing all that far away, so struck a nice balance of cool, dry air being fed into the area and calm winds. Looks like PDX hit the 20s again too.

Ended up with a 51/27 yesterday with lots of sun and breezy east winds in the afternoon and evening.

Hiked up Wind Mountain for the sunset and moonrise yesterday. Beautiful on top with a nice wind sheltered spot on the west side of the peak. The eastern side was cold, windy and frozen with temps around 30.
