Yeah this low is gonna need to put in some work this afternoon for us to crank up the accumulations. I am probably in the 1.25-1.5 inch range right now and there is a lot more sleet now, maybe 50% sleet falling.

Hopefully mid levels start to cool soon.

We just switched back from 80% sleet to 100% snow again. If the mid levels manage to really cool off before that juicy stuff arrives, 8-12 inches doesn't seem that crazy for much of the metro.

Some ice pellets but mostly ice crusted snow here. Have heard them on the skylight except for a brief time this morning. Conditions were absolutely epic when I took a walk. Trees creaking and even a few booms/crack in the wind.

Lighter now but hopefully picks up and is mostly snow later today.

I am in Yelm and have nothing. I can still see the foothills to the south of me. When those get obscured, then something is comin.

Looks like it’s creeping towards you on radar. Looks like some more solid radar returns.

Why do I feel so sad and disappointed that the temp is all the way up to 18 degrees now? I would have killed for mid 20’s just a few days ago. Something serious wrong with me 😂

Enjoying a little outdoor fire now.

After I saw Jesse's weenie on my post where I was complaining about my 7.5 degree low I realized the same thing.  It must be a reaction to having no snow.  Low temps are all you have to savor. 18 here now too.

Still a decent bit of sleet mixing in right now, hopefully we go back to mostly snow here soon

Pretty nuts out there. We are closing in on about an inch of sleet.

I think I've bottomed out at 13. I want more cold, but I doubt we can go farther.

Maybe if we have a clear night.

I will never doubt the NAM precip type profile after this one.

This was the snow total for the whole event that the 06z NAM showed right before the precip hit. I have about 2 inches right now, which is a bit more than 0. I think the NAM failed pretty miserably with this.

That being said, I'm 90% sleet now...

I have to say these winds are something fierce. Very strong even here in Sandy. I can't imagine how they would be in Troutdale or the Gorge. Very powerful storm. We will be lucky to keep our power, already briefly went out.
