Not a fan of that city though I hear in the last 10 years or so it's undergone a decent revitalization. Spent some time in Poctaello - hated it. Idaho Falls wasn't so bad. Depends what kind of life you're trying to live tho. If you're a red blooded Red Robin eatin' suburban person looking to do some fun stuff in the outdoors and raise a family in a largely LDS community then I could see living on the outskirts of any of those towns, just make sure to rent a second Uhaul to bring the good beer in. In November (I think), a couple of individuals were arrested trying to sabotage the train tracks in Bellingham using shunts. Catch-and-release. Reportedly they were associated with groups protesting the coal train shipments using the line. At the time, it was reported that there were something like 20 similar cases or discoveries in the last year-ish in Skagit and Whatcom counties. The Bellingham Herald referred to the Whatcom train network as a "prime target." You could very well be correct, and this could be mere operator error.
