Cold, rain, no hail today.  Clouds have been wild going from darkening the landscape to being bright.  It's brighter now than an hour ago, lol.

Excited to see what ends up happening at PDX tonight! Just an incredibly anomalous system.

Going to be quite the system out this way as well. We're under a Winter Storm Warning with blizzard conditions likely at times tomorrow night/Tuesday with 8-12" of snowfall. Highs are going to struggle to reach the low 20's on Tuesday and Wednesday so we are looking at mid winter kind of snow ratios of ~20:1. Below zero readings by Thursday morning is also a real possibility which is uncharted territory for mid April.

Down to 38.4 at my house just outside of Scappoose.  Snowflake just showed up on my Davis Vantage Vue.  Looking forward to seeing what happens here.  If there is anything to post I will post it.

Yeah I'm worried about that too in Lake Oswego. I got completely owned in February 2021 but at least this time there's no freezing rain.

Fortunately the NAM is really the only model left that is still keeping things a bit far north. The HRRR, FV3 and some of the other models that were previously agreeing with the NAM have shifted quite a bit further south with the 00z runs that just came out. I think you'll be alright.

00z NAM is a nudge south and stronger with that storm. Brings heavy occlusion-related snow into PDX for hours.

Also has an actual squall line off the coast slamming onshore in SW OR into CA.

Wow tonight and tomorrow morning feels like it’ll be something truly special down there in the Portland area. Can’t believe it’s April 10th and we’re tracking a snow event. Honestly pretty excited to see what happens even if we don’t get anything up this way!

No precipitation since this morning here…down to 41 and getting cloudy. Radar looks insane up north been awhile since I’ve seen so much red on the radar.

37.8F, temp is dropping quite nicely. Just a few days ago it was in the upper 70s. Crazy stuff.

Yeah I figured it’s not really that insane down on the surface. Does seem like mossman is probably still having a good time though.

D**n dude, sorry someone was talking to you.  As you know from our chats, my daughter has the same issue, though as of today, we are very lucky that she can manage it with meds (almost $2k a month before insurance but that is another topic for another day.)

I fully appreciate the impact of this disability and the challenges it places on the person afflicted by it and their loved ones.  I for one consider you a stone cold bad-a** for continuing on and fighting the good fight.  I know the toll it has taken on my daughter even though her condition is managed.  My only hope is that research soon reach a point that better treatment options will become available for you.
