Another interesting stat posted by SEA NWS earlier yesterday before it reached 80 degrees.

Interesting for some, perhaps concerning for others. Climate shift? then we’ll have a whole discussion about how it’s part of the earth’s climate cycle 😆

I am sure its all UHI.   That is why the warming has been even more pronounced out here away from the Sound.   4th runway at North Bend International.  🤨

00z vs 12z EPS - better. Definitely room for the 18z GFS in there. I believe.

12Z EPS 500mb map also shows room for an 18Z GFS solution.

76/58 day here. Partly cloudy early on, then clouding up later in the afternoon with what appears to be a weak front. Mostly cloudy and 74 currently. May scoop up a midnight low with some clearing later and a cooling airmass.

Of course PDX almost touched 80 again, with a 79. A solid 3-5 degrees above most guidance which has been the trend there the last week/decade or so.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

Storms last weekend had July-like flash rates. Uncommon to see this in mid-September. 2023 has gone rogue.

Nice to see some of the models back off a few degrees from late this week.  Still looking like 90 for Portland, potentially Thursday-Saturday, most likely Friday.

I'm beyond my average last 90(on the 6th).

Hopefully just Friday. We’re getting it the point of the season where it generally takes some offshore flow at the surface to be a slam dunk for 90.

Pretty morning here, partly cloudy and 54. I’m glad we’re also to the point where the nights are becoming dependably cool.

The switch to cool nights starting on the 4th was glorious.
