I can hear the south wind picking up here now... starting to roar out there.

The wind loop shows strong S and SW wind for the Seattle area until about 1 p.m. tomorrow... then it goes calm for a short time with the passage of the front and then starts getting strong from the north.    On Friday the north wind will be ripping down the Sound will its basically calm across the EPSL.    Then the east wind takes over.

Phil always takes a break during our local event lead ups when it gets crazy on here.  He is a big picture guy.

Lytton is down to 23F with a N wind at 25mph.  It’s moving!

Cruising through the canyon on Highway 1, windows down, waving the Canadian flag and blasting The Tragically Hip at full volume (RIP Gord Downie). Using the Huntingdon crossing to enter The States by sunrise.

I've been up for awhile 😕 couldn't help but wonder what the models are showing so that's why I'm awake 🙄 it's going to be a long day (I'm working 9 hour days 😩).

Models are looking better for snowfall in my area and other places too 🤗 but that's not the reason why I'm making a post.

I was looking through Facebook and I follow this group for the PNW and saw this picture and had to screenshot it for the people up in the Seattle area. This is an amazing picture and the amount of snow that fell is incredible. It's so hard for Seattle and Portland to get a decent amount of snow but 5 feet 😳 amazing 🤗🌨❄️

Currently 34.1 dry degrees out. It’s crazy how much sleep I have lost during the last two weeks waiting for this day to finally come…
Dry.

Bare ground going into this whole thing…Will be bare ground coming out of this thing…Unbelievable.

My son who leaves for work at 5:30 just texted me this and said "you spent the last 10 days hyping this up for this... aren't you from Minnesota?"   🙄

It could have been so memorable for him in Seattle if the compromise solution was just a little farther north.

As mentioned on here earlier... the 06Z GFS did have a northward jump over night.    One more jump like that and Seattle gets in on the craziness and its a totally different story.

The 06Z ECMWF actually shifted south... and seems to have tightened up the heaviest snow band to focus directly over Portland.
