Wife may have a job opp there and I work remote so it doesn't matter where I live as long as it's in Pacific or Mountain time zone. Looks pretty arid, averages about 60" of snow a year and the record high of all time is 100, so 'cooler' than Spokane. Record low is -39 so also 'colder' than Spokane. I'd imagine some Chinook winter warmth like the CO front range and probably Blizzards too Cheyenne is basically Denver's climate. They're only 100 miles apart. Lots of quick hitting arctic fronts and their blizzards peak in the spring months there. They'll generally see colder airmasses than Spokane, but see less in the way of sustained <32 weather during the heart of winter.

That would be fun to ride through, assuming that's not too hard on the horses. I'm guessing as long as it was still in the light/fluffy stage and you didn't push them too hard it wouldn't be too bad. I helped someone whose snowblower broke, so I was glad it was light. Track kinda sucks for this area. Screaming easterly fetch. However the GFS is notorious for underestimating CAD here (especially in-situ CAD). Good chance we end up with mostly frozen precip, but a relatively quick changeover to sleet/ZR. 2 Quote Live Weather Cam: https://www.youtube.com/live/KxlIo8-KVpc?si=xKLCFYWbZieAfyh6 PWS Wunderground https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/KMDBETHE62 PWS CWOP/NOAA: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=F3819&hours=
