1957 is still the #1 500mb analog on both D6-10 & D8-14 pools. Some of the similarities are downright uncanny including similarly timed +dAAMt/+AAM events and +ENSO evolving from +SPMM under +AMO/-NPMM.

Have no choice but to weigh it heavily as a seasonal analog at this point. Usually try to avoid going back that far, but I think it’s warranted this time.

I'm at the hospital waiting for my procedure. The drive coming here was white knuckle. The was so much standing water on the freeway that when someone next to me hit it, the water hit my windshield and I couldn't see anymore I'm glad the rain is letting up

Great storms this morning, lots of summer type lightning up above, though at the surface temperatures were in the 40s.

This has turned into a raw day, with a current temp of 49 with 0.63" of rain.

Much cooler 56/49 temp spread so far today with 0.03” of rain this morning. Not expecting much else in the way of thunderstorms but totally fine with that considering the great one we had last night.

Found her LinkedIn page and it says she moved to Henderson NV in February and she is now a Grand Canyon helicopter tour pilot.    So maybe she is just not interested in tracking weather now.

That sounds like quite a the change in weather from Montana, and from what I can gather she actually liked experiencing all the cold and snow in Bozeman.

Raced home and just finished mowing as the heavy drizzle started! Went from 80 and sun in Wenatchee to 44 and dense fog at the top of the pass an hour later, and now drizzle at home.
