Only 4 inches all season? Wow! That's pretty rough for Spokane. (This sounds sarcastic but I promise I'm not).

It might be 5 but we have not had much snow at all this year. I can not complain as it is way more than I used to get living in the Swamp (Bonney Lake). But yes it has been a very light year and bunch of 35 degree rain and just down-right dreary. All good and hope the westside can score!!

He has flip flopped on this more than a hotdog with too much slippery mustard on it.  I like Rod but he's been all over the place.  I'm sure you've seen his other "updates".  One day he had our coldest day at 35 for a high then in the 40's shortly after that.  I'm glad he's back to a colder solution but holy cow batman.  I'm not faulting him as this has been a challenging forecast but he's been all over the place.

Minimal at the very onset then switches quickly to ice. Would be several sub-freezing highs after that tho.

That's super shocking! Wouldn't surprise me if you get another blast later this season. So great to have another east side poster even though you're 2 hrs away :D. Whereabouts in Spokane are you? Downtown? Out closer to Liberty Lake where @Phishy Wx is? Or on the west plains?

Of the 50 EPS members... none of them have precip in Seattle on Saturday now.   Hence the southward trend on the mean shown earlier.

So where does this non-event fall on the list of greatest rug pulls of all time?

Tough to rank as a true non event bc snow was never guaranteed, ppl in this forum just assumed we'd get lucky at some point

Hi-res WRF shows a decent chunk of moisture popping up overnight here. Unfortunately, at this time it's likely still too warm for snow here although @MossMan would get a decent dump of snow.

That is exactly why I think Randy can still score!   But as you said... temps are marginal at that point.   Arctic air doesn't get to him until early afternoon.

Can we all just focus on finding evidence that it will snow in Randy's backyard??   Does anything else really matter.  😀

High-res WRF has a band of very heavy precip tomorrow morning between Seattle and Everett. Would likely be too early for snow that would stick around as modeled, but still nice to see such intense banding show up.

How much snow did PDX get last night?

It really depended on where you were at.  We have over 20 micro climates in the Metro area.  Trace at the valley floor in spots to several inches at 1K in the West Hills.  Hit and miss.  I'm 315ft near the Cascade foothills and never saw a flake and ended up at 37 for a low.  Clark Co. did well.  Some spots had a little snow south of the Metro but melted pretty fast.  Don't know if there was any officially at the airport.

This morning I had a mix and was at 33 degrees, will the air profile be anymore favorable at all with this as opposed to this morning? I was definitely sooo close this morning.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

The GFS shows that same moisture as snow with a progged temp of 37 degrees.  Could happen I spoze,
