it's been pretty good.  had at least some snow on the ground for like 20 ish? days (I haven't looked at the official summary) and consistently cold.  hoping its a good sign for winter?

edit 24 days of snow on the ground as of today

After missing out yesterday, I was not prepared for this. Currently dumping snow, some of the largest flakes I’ve ever seen. Temp sitting at 37 according to my phone, but it’s already covering roads. Accumulations from the last 30-60 minutes, I’d say.

Great pic.

Nice to see the donut hole folks scoring tonight like the King Euro has been showing.

Next round of showers off the coast just now approaching radar range is looking stout.

The might well be the feature that the ECMWF shows will rotate right into Seattle around 2 a.m.

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

I would say a vast majority of the premier cold/snowy Novembers in Spokane were followed by pretty snowy and/or cold DJFs there. 2010-11, 2000-01, 1996-97, 1985-86, 1978-79, 1973-74, 1955-56 to name some.

7am Alaska Airlines flight out of SeaTac to PV Mexico tomorrow morning. What are the odds this is happening?? Lol

Last December we got stuck on the tarmac for 8 hours for a Sea to Orlando flight. Multiple de-icing passes and we got sent back to the gate and canceled after EIGHT HOURS just sitting on the tarmac. Lol.

So I have some PTSD about this.

100% guaranteed delay if snow

You get warm noses over there too?  I hate those two words.

It's basically been sitting on my location since midnight and also taking away snow chances for tomorrow also.

Sticking to the roads and nice little coat! 1-1.5in on elevated surfaces doe

That’s almost as much as the euro showed lol. Everything is starting to turn white just a trace so far. It took awhile for it to cool down and get consistently heavy but it’s really dumping and accumulating quickly now.

18Z ECMWF... 24 hour snow total starting at 7 p.m. tonight through 7 p.m. tomorrow.   Looks like the snow will go well past 7 in the South Sound area.
