How much of that snow was left over from February?

It was getting pretty thin before the March refresh!

Elevation 580’ Location a few miles east of I-5 on the Snohomish Co side of the Snohomish/Skagit border. I love snow/cold AND sun/warmth!

How can it be your ideal snowstorm month if it never snows during said month?

Historically speaking it blows the doors off of any other month.  How the mighty have fallen!

We've been having minor disconnect issues, but not a FULL "offline" disconnect. Just blips long enough to kick us out of a game server, or a Discord call. It's irritating, and apparently a wide spread issue. After factory resetting, rebooting, adjusting the dish, it's been stable this afternoon, but now shows a random, perfectly red square "obstruction" on the app. It's in the middle of the sky! There's no obstruction! lol

I’m pretty sure he’s kidding. Probably right about January atleast.

Pretty good chance we don’t even get any snow here this month. If so it would be in the company of 2019, 2018, 2015, 2014.

Our best snow chances here are generally January 15-March 25, we haven’t even entered our main window yet.

Juneuary.

We had almost no snow going into February in 2018 and 2019, so even having no snow through January doesn’t preclude a poor season.

In 12 years we ve only had two below average Januaries, 2017 and 2013, and 2012 was near normal, and I believe 2016 was close to normal too. Other than that all torches.

Not much mountain snow left down there.

That’s not what the cascade snow pack look like. It is just the front range of Mount Si. That rock face always loses snow pretty quickly.

BTW been up there many times in winter. 4-5 feet of snow is pretty typical at the top of the ridge. Here is a recent snow pic from a couple exits down. Cascade snowpack is very healthy. 7FB38548-3D7F-4081-BD6B-99561D49A2C4.thumb.jpeg.bddec777017e76bd990e37b7b09c020c.jpeg

I still feel pretty good about February. Maybe even the last couple days of January potentially but I think it’s going to hold off til February.

Actually clear and calm right now.  Temp is down to a bone chilling 43!

At least all of the east wind that looked inevitable here for days on end hasn't materialized since the big blow as of yet.

Just tallied up the Arctic outbreaks for the 1920s and it was even better than I thought.  A total of 17 separate outbreaks, and 9 of those were major with high temps way below freezing.  To make it even more amazing the decade was bookended by epic blasts in December 1919 and January 1930.

I'll do a separate thread about that decade.

Just got back from the central coast with my (now married) daughter before she heads back to Ft Campbell Kentucky with her Army husband.

Between storms, it was in the low 50's, no wind, and sunshine. Short sleeves and very comfortable. Massive waves at high tide made for incredible wave watching as she got her fix of the PNW that she loves before heading to a landlocked life for awhile.

Bittersweet to say the least!!

Easy to finish a winter with only ~ 4” total here. It’s always very feast or famine. But to my knowledge we’ve never had a truly “snowless” winter. At least not yet..I’m sure it’ll happen eventually.

Believe it or not this upcoming pattern is the best “snow” pattern we’ve had so far this winter, even though it’s a warmer one. Just need a low to track in right spot without occluding, and it’ll snow.

I also think febuary may surprise I don't think we are done with this winter despite the cancels group I have seen a few cases where we went from one extream to the other way for a few week's
