Yes, I remember now.😁 Hard to believe it's been that long ago. I remember getting into an argument with Jesse prior to the winter of 2009-10. I told him we probably wouldn't get much snow because of the strong west based el niño. He didn't like that very much.😆😂 I know you did really well that year.⛄

Might never experience a winter like that again. 50-70”+ of snow in 12 days w/ 20ft drifts..god I would give almost anything to relive that.

Either that or time is actually accelerating and it’s all relative for everyone?!

That's actually really interesting as you'll like what R/Retconned has to say about that subject. Interesting posts that will make you go out of your 'boxed' way of thinking.

One person is a musician in one of the posts there and the issue is quite noticeable since he deals with BPM a lot. (Beats Per Minute) which is VERY crucial to music.

Mild night. Only got down to 50°F. Rain came in around 4:45 am. Temperature now up to 55°F, so I would guess the downsloping is underway. NWS is going for a high of 61°F here, but their models usually underestimate the effect of downsloping-induced warming in my microclimate.

It's called clown range for a reason.

Low of 37. No good sunrises lately, terrible luck I guess. I want to get some good photography in before leaving the area.

Any chance you can stay an extra month to get a few flakes in? We will be jealous of you when you get downpours in summer during fire season.

Today's high in Garfield County where I am is about 73-75 and tomorrow's will be about 55-57 with our first low temp in the 30's. Hoping our tomatoes and gourds get another week in. Thanks for letting an Eastern WA resident in this forum. Wasn't sure if we were allowed here but Timmy posts from KFalls so all good.

You should be getting a lot more supercells in Kentucky! (I think, I know nothing about that state)

There are sirens over there. I'd think any state that has tornado sirens has that kind of activity.

Lots of shelf clouds I'm seeing.

I post from Lake Tahoe since our weather is a closer match to the PNW than California. Also the members on here like to see snow pictures!

If this La Nina is anything like they're saying; I might see the first snow or first few before I officially pack up the Uhaul.

In 2017 I had my first 1" on 10/21. Definitely possible.

We had maybe an inch or two of snow in the last week of October last year. That was more than we had for the next two months. We scored about a foot in that same storm you guys got in PDX and South Sound too. Our neighbors said the Oct snow was unusual since most of our snow is late season. We have more snow days than those on the west side, but since I'm in a moderate rain/snow shadow (not as bad as central WA thankfully) you guys have higher potential for storm totals than we do. Used to live close to Moss man (close to Stanwood HS) and would use his forecasts as a lurker to determine snow days.

Nice to have more people from eastern WA post. We have 2 posters over there one in Leavenworth and another in Spokane so it’s nice to have a 3rd one.

If Ashland has nearby sirens I gotta take video of that.

For a couple years a lot of conversations had us moving to Spokane. Compared to other big cities I think that would have been a nice place to settle and there's jobs everywhere.

Real estate just got different over the years and might not have worked out.

Didn't get much rain overnight, not even 0.1" in the bucket. However, it's quite breezy outside with gusts into the mid 30s here. Looks like a wind advisory popped up overnight.

We had September and October snow in 2019. We had October snow last year. Sometimes we get flakes in October, but accumulating snow is unusual. I doubt we see a repeat this year, but who knows, right?

Having early season snowfall 3 years in a row would be really impressive there.

K-Falls has not had accumulating snow in September since the 80's I'm assuming. One time I had wet flakes falling 9/28/2019. Somehow nothing fell until November that year.
