I would if I didn't have to wake up at some point today. Actually this morning. Yeah. Nice, fun trip planned over at the good ole DMV. Butters was full of $hit about it being the greatest place in the world, just confess everything to your government, trust your government because it loves you. What a little prick. Anyhow....

I thought you live in SC now?

We came to visit in late July and still haven’t left. I fished up in Alaska this summer and we were waiting on a 300lb home pack of sockeye to be delivered to Seattle and it didn’t make it down until September. Still here!!!!

General rule is, short term improvements beget long term improvements. Usually works out in the winter.

150 hours is the closest thing to a "short term" we've had in a month, so I'm just going to take what I can get here.

September 2021. This guy was on my couch while I was watching TV. That's a quarter there for reference. Yours does still look a little more stout though.

had one in a corner outside above our front door last year like that, stuck around until we had a low in the lower 30s in late october and poof was gone.  didn't come back this year so probably went somewhere and died.  (not sure what spider life spans are but this one looked old)

12Z GFS is on board... similar to the ECMWF.     At some point the ensembles have to start showing that ULL digging solidly into the PNW.    The 06Z EPS was even weaker than its 00Z run.

Your kind of missing the point of what a setup like that (early next week) would mean in the winter.  That is a solidly cold pattern that was not shown by any model even 2 days ago.  This is not a business as usual progression no matter how you slice it.

Setting yourself up for a major disappointment already this season.

Maybe I am the foolish one, but it sure seems a little premature to be forecasting an awesome winter off of a couple of maps after this long dry streak that up until these few maps seemed to go to Spring.

At least inversion season should be starting, plus it is dripping wet outside this morning.
