Snow cover can certainly help, but not that much, not under the forecast conditions.

GFS ZR. Looks like we get over 1"+ of ZR here on top of the ungodly snow totals (Which are nothing compared to PDX). Corvallis would probably have to replace their electrical grid.

Also, worried about the GFS run. It looks like snow shadow city up here (even if the low resolution of the GFS doesn't show it), especially for the later systems.

Definitely looked a bit better than the 18z did. It's kind of a dumb model.

RGEM just has that stubborn +1c 850s stuck right over PDX. Would have some impressive snow totals otherwise.

Really wasn't expecting a GFS run like that so close to the event. Something tells me the Euro will sober things up quick around here. Sounds like the GEM was a good primer for that.
