The NWS always appreciates observations, especially detailed observations that everyone on here is capable of giving. That can be done thru Twitter, as they often set up a feed for that, or the mPing app. That can include final snowfall amounts, when the snow starts/stops, precip type, dew point, etc
This helps them with short term forecasts as well as future forecasts as they can learn from them. A few years ago they had a freezing rain advisory for Leavenworth, but I notified
Bust city here again. I got about a tenth this evening, which puts my 2-wave weekend total at 0.25"... a very far cry from the 2-3+ inches the models were spitting out for days.
I’d like to answer that but it dives into something real personal re: health.

Mets are trying to prepare people for a Saturday night at home if they’ll listen. Large hail, high wind and a possible tornado. (I hate nighttime tornados).
Currently 77*. Humidity at 79%.
Wind officially 17mph but I’ve been out there. It’s a good deal higher and gustier.
A line of strong storms are currently from Snyder, Texas to Lawton, Okla moving SSE. The cap has remained in place this afternoon but we’re expecting that to change overnight. With strong evening storms.
Hoping for no night tornados.
